AD prides itself on providing quality, customised and enjoyable study programmes for residents and visitors to London who seek an educated, professional programme on all aspects of London's architecture.

AD has experience in researching, leading and hosting events for every size of group, from 2 - 500 people: providing bespoke tours, introductory talks, opening doors, guiding focused research groups and simply engaging people in a dialogue with architecture and with one another. Programmes are adfapted to the audience. This can vary from the professional research trip to the simple educational introductory walking tour.

AD is led by a team of experts who have in-depth knowledge of London’s architecture and have strong contacts with the capital's architectural community. Programmes are presented by the architect Ken Allinson, author ‘London’s Contemporary Architecture + A Visitors Guide.’

AD is a founding member of a co-operative European network of professional architectural guides across Europe. See guiding-architects network for more information.

AD was founded in 1980 and, for some fifteen years, took British architects all over Europe and even to Japan, India, and Africa. Europe's moving centre of architectural focus - Paris, Berlin, Barcelona ... - was of especial interest. But then London itself was attracting more and more people to its contemporary architecture as well its its body of heritage works. Since 1996 we have specialised in serving foreign groups and individuals coming to London.
